Hi again, I'm Evan Fisher. As a senior software engineer based in NYC, I specialize in building and maintaining scalable backend, cloud native systems using Java, Spring Boot, and AWS.

I've spent the past year at Capital One, modernizing query patterns in legacy systems with GraphQL and Kafka. I've also integrated end to end tests into CI/CD pipelines to shorten release cycles. I care deeply about clear architecture, reusable code, and thorough documentation.

I previously spent four years in Washington DC as a contractor, building full stack web applications using Vue and Node.js for a number of federal agencies. Before this, I was a student at the University of Virginia , where I studied computer science and Spanish.

When I'm not coding, you can probably find me outside (on a run, on the slopes, or on a hike with my camera).
