About Me

Evan Fisher

Hi, I'm a full-stack software engineer based in New York City. I specialize in building and maintaining scalable backend, cloud-native systems. I care deeply about clear architecture, reusable code, and thorough documentation.

I'm currently on the Recoveries business validation team at Capital One as the business undergoes a major migration effort. I develop and maintain validation tooling for other teams, modernize query patterns in legacy systems with GraphQL and Kafka, and integrate end-to-end tests into CI/CD pipelines to shorten release cycles.

I've also worked in the technical consulting space, spending time as a contractor with KPMG in Washington, D.C. building web applications for a number of federal agencies. Before that, I studied Computer Science and Spanish at the University of Virginia.

When I'm not coding, you can probably find me outside — on a run, on the slopes, or on a hike with my camera.
